Even though I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in accounting from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, I have always found the healing arts intensely appealing.  I love helping people and now feel this type of work is my ‘calling.’  With each day, each book I read, each class I attend, each person I work with, I become more and more inspired and awakened.

I completed my massage therapy program and have also received extensive outside training.  For example, I have taken the basic and advanced Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST) Practitioner courses as well as the Deep Cures NST course.  I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), licensed by the state of Arizona, License # MT-00983.  I am also Nationally Certified (NCTMB).

Furthermore, I have received my certification as a Natural Health Professional.  This certification entailed attending classes such as Iridology (the study of the iris and how it relates to the rest of your body), Nutrition, Body Systems (the study of the body, its make-up and how it works), and Bodywork (included the Light Touch Technique).

Additionally, I took part in an in-depth course about simple herbs and herbal combinations and became a Certified Herbalist.

As a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, I am a certified member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals(ABMP) as well.  In order to maintain my National certification and the ABMP certified membership status, I must complete continuing education each year.

I feel that I have found my ‘niche’ in life and am very excited to continue learning about natural healing and bringing my knowledge and expertise to those in need.

Justin loves his work and it shows! Originally from Great Britain, he moved to the U.S. to go to school and has traveled extensively as a naturalist and outdoor educator. Originally trained at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe in a 1200 hour program, he has since been steadily studying and refining his art to a masters level in Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, and Hot Stone massage. A massage with Justin is tailored to each individuals needs through careful listening at the beginning. His work is designed to relax and balance your body using a combination of strength and sensitivity. “That was the best massage I have ever had” is a phrase that Justin is proud to say he has heard often, and he looks forward to working with you.

Angela Watson, LMT, CPT, NCBTMB
Licensed in Arizona (MT-11285), Certified Personal Trainer and Nationally Certified

Angela Watson has been working in the bodywork field for over 12 years. Her journey began at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, AZ. She studied Zen Shiatsu where she learned acupressure and Chinese medical theory. Five years later she obtained her Massage Therapy certification from Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College.

She is a fitness enthusiast and certified as a personal trainer. She has taught many yoga and fitness classes and developed individual training programs for a variety of fitness levels. Angela also generously shares her passion for fitness by encouraging all her massage clients to exercise, stretch and be kind to their bodies.

Her combined knowledge in massage therapy and fitness helps her recommend stretches and exercises to facilitate healing of problematic muscles for her clients. She teaches her fitness clients how to exercise properly and effectively avoid injury and unnecessary tension in the body during physical exertion.

She is very passionate about her work and enjoys sharing her knowledge of the human body, teaching mind/body awareness techniques and motivating her clients to want to be healthier, happier and pro-active in their own self care.

***Angela had her baby boy, Lucas on February 18. CONGRATS to Angela and Yannick! So, she is not available for massage from now until Spring of 2012. She will have very limited hours at that time as well. Please try one of our other wonderful therapists. We will work hard to meet your needs!

Ashley Woods, LMT

Ashley is fairly new to massage therapy. She has taken time off of her career ambitions to raise her children and focus on her family. But, she is now ready to dive in and work hard at her massage career. She has a wonderful touch and gives a terrific massage. She does swedish (relaxation), deep tissue and is also trained in hot stone and sports therapies. She is eager to learn more and help all of those that come to her. She is a very hard worker and wants nothing more than for you to leave happy and feeling great!

***Ashley will be leaving us mid-March. We are very saddened by this. Her husband’s military orders have suddenly changed and she will now be moving to Texas. Ashley became a wonderful addition to our family and will be sorely missed by all.***
