Muscular Development: Strength, Flexibility, Endurance and Muscle Tone
Our Workouts are portable, require no equipment other than a yoga mat, can be recorded
to a DVD for private use by client and are effective, challenging and realistic
Power Yoga for 1 or 2
Power Yoga is a physical style of yoga designed to create awareness within the mind, body and
breath. By challenging the physical body we create an opportunity to focus the mind on internal
sensations and stimuli – allowing it to reconnect with the internal body and soul while disconnecting
from our own mind-created distractions, leaving a sense of calm and well-being.
We now offer yoga and fitness classes for everyone – all fitness (or lack of fitness) levels!
WHY YOGA?
Yoga is not just about stretching and meditating. Yoga is a form of exercise that is intended to harmonize our physical body with our internal body, allowing us to make the most of our physical and mental capacities.
Yoga builds strong muscles, increases flexibility and range of motion, unwinds scar tissue, rejuvenates muscle and connective tissues and increases awareness and perception of what we refer to as one’s self or conscious self.
Internal benefits of practicing yoga include balancing of the endocrine system, stress reduction, stress management, tension release, relaxation, biofeedback and mental focus.
CLASS SCHEDULE
MONDAY (Taught by Amy Vaughn) *11:30am 1 hour – “Gentle Yoga”
*5:30 pm 1 hour – “Beginning/Continuing“
THURSDAY (Taught by Angela Watson – currently Amy Vaughn is subbing until Angela is back from maternity leave – while Amy subs, it will not be “Junk and the Trunk.” She will be teaching a more traditional, restorative yoga for all levels of experience)
*5:30 pm 1 hour – Any Level “Junk and the Trunk” (Men welcome too!) (See note above)
FRIDAY (Taught by Angela Watson) *5:30 pm 1 Hour – Any Level – “Monsoon Yoga” (This class will not be held until Angela is back from maternity leave)
SATURDAY (Taught by Angela Watson) *9:00 am 1 Hour – Any Level but the real yoga novice – “Yoga Vigor” (This class will not be taught until Angela is back from maternity leave)

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Beginning/Continuing – A mixed level class introducing the postures and their variations, allowing students to practice at their own level. Beginners are welcome!
Gentle Yoga – A slow, meditative class, incorporating breath work and restorative postures. Appropriate for any level of experience.
Monsoon Yoga – A challenging yoga Vinyasa-style class practiced in a hot and moist room. Heat facilitates elasticity of muscle and connective tissue. Moisture increases sweating to promote a detoxifying effect.
Yoga Vigor – Hatha yoga designed to increase flexibility, stamina, balance, breath control and strength. All levels are welcome except for the beginner.
Junk and the Trunk - A class designed to firm and tone the problem areas of a woman’s body. All levels – women AND men are welcome!
PRICES
All of our classes are limited to 6 students, and thus, are semi-private. Our prices may be a bit more than others, but it is well worth it due to the personal attention you get. This attention helps you work at your own pace and level with the assistance of the instructor all while maintaining safety.
